Enjoying the Park, River and Swimming Pool

The estateThe estate
The Loire Valley is know as the 'garden of France', and the title is well deserved.   Château de Chanzé's guests will appreciate the tranquility of the estate and the delightful River Layon, and they will be drawn by the wooded park where they can have some truly relaxing moments.

The lovely River LayonThe locely River Layon

Le Layon, some 90 kilometers long and a tributary of the Loire River, has its source in the Deux-Sevrès département.  It flows in a northwesterly direction where it enters the Maine-et-Loire, passing by Château de Chanzé where its banks are lined with trees and native plants.

Champagne at the River's edge

Guests can get close to nature at the river's edge, relaxing as the gentle Layon drifts by ~  perhaps enjoying a glass of Champagne as shown in this photo.

Heated swimming pool

Another appealing water feature at the Château is the beautiful 14 x 6 meter heated swimming pool that is for the enjoyment of both château guests and those in the self-catering gîtes.  The pool is open from June to September.
