The Dovecote (pigeonnier) is just one of the many attractions of the park surrounding Château de Tocqueville, the country home of Alexis de Tocqueville and where he so enjoyed a tranquil life.

The joineryChâteau tower

As you wander the grounds, you will come upon the round tower at the opposite end of the château from the Pavillon.  The château is much loved by the family de Tocqueville and the great care and attention it is given is evident.  You will also see the joinery which offers a glimpse into the life and accomplishments of Alexis de Tocqueville.  The permanent exhibit was created by the Regional Archives Service to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth in 2005.
