This is Le Clos de
la Garenne as seen from the spacious park. Specimen trees, flower
beds and meadowlands add to the charm of this fine property.
It is believed that
this green oak tree is 350 to 400 years old, most likely there when the
house was first built in 1650. There are plans for a small
pond in the distance, and the entire scene is one of tranquility and calm.
Looking over an ancient
wooden gate covered in lichen, one can see a wealth of fine trees that provide shady spots for guests to take
strolls on the grounds. Who would ever imagine that this bucolic place
was in the heart of a small village?
