This magnificent château in
southwest
France boasts luxurious, beautiful grounds, and is in a region of
France with plenty
of fair weather. What could be more perfect? Perhaps your
next
visit
to France will take you to the midi-Pyrénées and the
little
town of La Bastide de Sérou. If so, as you marvel at the
endless
charm and profound beauty of the Ariège département,
you, too, may decide that Château Rhodes is the perfect place to
stay.
The château has "new" owners who are very familiar with the château and the region as they were the owners prior to 2006. They are happy to return to welcome those who want to rent the château for a week or more and to host weddings in the lovely chapel. Guests will appreciate that it has undergone a complete renovation, ensuring all the comforts of a luxury property.. The château is rented by the week as a self-catering property or, if desired, all meals can be prepared by a chef for the duration of your stay. Whether you choose to stay one week or longer, you will be greeted with warmth and friendliness of the owners. Long the residence of a powerful and aristocratic family in the Ariège, it is now a welcoming guest property for the first time in its history. The grounds are encircled by a tranquil walking path and are accentuated by both a river and a stream. There are many ancient trees in the well-tended landscape and a terrace from which one can hear the soft flowing Arize River which meanders through the château's park. From the sparkling swimming pool there are views of the dramatic Pyrénées mountain range, and tennis buffs will be thrilled with the court. Table tennis and billiards are available indoors, a cinema room and projector, and there is also a games room which will definitely appeal to the younger set. Just a five-minute drive away is a challenging eighteen-hole golf course. The local village has a full range of shops, a very helpful tourist office and a medical center. Within the château itself are fifteen bedrooms all thoughtfully decorated to create a special environment for guests. Filled with 18th and 19th century antiques, Persian rugs, and beautiful art work, Château Rhodes will create incredible memories for all who stay there. Guests will be able to avail themselves of a well-stocked library of books, DVDs, CDs and games on the first floor or take advantage of the satellite television, broadband internet access. There is an exercise room and a changing room. Reserve your week or longer at Château Rhodes to
experience château living at its very best. |
