Restoration of Le Châtelet was completed in the 19th century by architect René Moreau.  Today it is a charming addition to Château de Vollore amid lovely manicured gardens.  Its guest rooms and suites are spacious and luxurious,  and their windows open to incredible views of the Auvergne.

Another interesting building is the gatehouse at the entrance to the château.  The gates themselves are grand, and this fine stone building stands just inside them as a sentinel.
